The Homeless Man with the Golden Voice

This story has been on the news this week and made it to the headlines worldwide! This is one of those stories that show us there is hope in this cruel world. (23691 hits on YouTube as of today!)The news are usually full of death, violence and evil and we are already calloused to so much bad news! But this story is like a breath of fresh air and gives us hope that there's still good in the world, and many people like Ted Williams who just need a second chance and someone who believes in them! This is what I call Good News! Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Beautiful!

Ted Williams is on a roll, and embracing his new role as a viral video sensation.
The internet hero, dubbed by many headlines as the "homeless man with the golden voice", went from a homeless ex-addict living on the streets of Columbus, Ohio to being featured as a guest on the Today Show in a matter of days, thanks to a video posted by a Columbus Dispatch reporter, and a subsequent reposting of it on YouTube.
On Thursday, New York ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky hired Williams to voice a new Kraft Macaroni & Cheese commercial. The spot is due to air on Sunday, during the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, a US college football game.
Lynne Galia, a spokesperson with Kraft, told Advertising Age: "Like many others, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese and our ad agency was moved by Ted Williams' story. His amazing voice is perfectly suited to our campaign. We were in the middle of making our TV spots and in a unique position to help Ted use his great voice to gain employment."
The video which spawned the media frenzy was posted by the Dispatch earlier this week. It shows Williams -- who, after bouts with drugs and alcohol, lost his home and career in radio -- standing beside a Columbus highway, holding up a sign which read:
"I have a God given gift. My voice. I'm an ex-radio announcer who has fallen on hard times."
The video demonstrates Williams trained radio voice, and has captured the attention of many across the world. Appearing on NBC on Thursday, the Brooklyn native confirmed he's received employment offers from the NFL and MTV, as an offer of a house and a job from the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers.
